Photos of Jack!

A quick update:
Jack is doing great- growing and changing fast!  Maybe I'm biased, but he is so stinkin' cute, I can't stop staring at him.  He weighs right around 10 pounds and is almost 22 inches long.  We love him!!

My good friend Kimberly Potterf came by and took some family photos a week or two ago (my days and nights run together...) and turned out great!  She is so talented.  If you ever need pictures taken, she's your girl.  Check her out!  Here are some of our favorites:

Manchild Finally Came!

Meet Jack.  He's cute and fat.

Jackson Timothy Adair came to meet us on November 29th, 2011 (his due date!) at 8:22pm.  He only made his mamma push for 20 minutes.  He weighs a whopping 9 pounds 1 oz, 20.5 inches long, and has a 14 inch head... big boy!  He is a superb eater and sleeper so far (praying that will last)!

So the story:
I had been having contractions for 2 and a half weeks, so when November 29th rolled by, I had no hope of actual labor happening.  I decided to go to the gym for a good work out in the morning, go home to shower and clean up, then head to Marshalls to continue my nesting, something I have been obsessing over in the last few weeks.  I found some cute kitchen towels and an oven timer and decided to go stand in line to pay for them when... you guessed it... my water broke, or at least I was hoping so because who wants to pee their pants in public, right?  The one day I wear my light grey sweats!  So I frantically dropped the stuff I was going to buy and waddled out to the car.  I tried calling Dan, no luck.  He was taking a final and didn't have good phone reception.  I called a few more times, no luck.  I started to drive home laughing to myself when he called back.  He got out of his final with a standing ovation from his class and hopped on the bus to meet me at home.

We made it to the hospital at about 2:30pm hoping I didn't just pee my pants- turns out my water broke.  Every time I laughed, more came out, so Dan decided to make me hysterically laugh non-stop.  Ha! I was dilated to 5 cm already so they wanted to get thing going.  They started me on pitocin (sp?) and I got the epidural and things started to to feel good.  The epidural worked fantastic until it came time to push... then it became super painful.  I only had to push for 20 minutes and along came Jack.  He came so fast, he beat the doctor- the nurse had to take the snap!

It was the most amazing feeling to hold him for the first time (and every time I hold him).  I have never felt so proud in my life.  I have never been so in love with Dan in my life.  How can I love a baby I have never met so much?  Incredible.  Absolutely incredible.  He (Jack and Dan) are absolutely perfect!  The whole process was perfect.

Early Debut?

No, he's not early.  Just an awesome (yeah, right) picture of myself.  What, is that not the best costume ever?  It was only $.59

Manchild

It's been a while!  Dan, Manchild (Jackson), and I have been very busy!  I couldn't tell you everything since the last time I blogged... its been what, 3 months?  I'm 33 weeks and a day!  The pregnancy has been going great!  I'm excited to meet the little guy in less than a two months!  I'm still CrossFitting 5-6 days a week and feeling great.  I'll try and get some pics of that, its quite entertaining :)  To my sista, Hannah's request, here's a prego pic:

My great friend, Kortney, threw me a baby shower.  It was so fun.  Thank you Kortney!  And a huge thanks to Heidi for the absolutely delicious, to die for soup and bread sticks; Steph, Ashley, Ashleigh for the awesome salads; Beth for the beautiful, tasty cookies, and everyone that came!  I am so blessed to have such great friends.  Here's a pic of Steph, Kortney, and myself after the shower.

My beautiful sister and her kids came to visit from Oprah's stompin' grounds (Chicago) last weekend and we had an absolute blast.  I just love her so much and it meant everything to me she made the long trek over here.  We haven't seen each other since last Christmas!  Here's a pic of Bekah, sweet Annie, and myself after the shower last Saturday:

My good friend Kim Potterf took some pregnancy pics last week that turned out great!  She is AWESOME photographer and would recommend her to anyone!  I absolutely loved how they turned out.  My husband is so hot :)  Here's a few pics from that:

Dan and I got season football season tickets again this year... too bad our team isn't awesome anymore.  Grrr.  Oh well, we still have fun!  Here's a pic of us from a few weeks ago:

So there you have it- an Adair update.  Hope you're all doing great!  Come visit us in Columbus!

Boy!

As most of you have probably heard by now, we are having a boy! Dan and I both knew it. This little kid is going to be the cutest little longboarder you'll ever see! Ha! We went to the ultrasound on Friday afternoon- it was the coolest thing we have ever seen. He didn't stop moving the entire time, surprise surprise huh? The kid is doomed to be like that- both Dan and I are always moving. He was sitting Indian style and had both of his hands up by his face. So stinking cute! I'm not much of a writer, so I'll just post some pics from the appointment.

His cute little profile: eyes, nose, mouth, and hand

Buff leg, big foot!

Self explanatory.

We Were on the News!

Remember when I said NBC 4 came and shot a segment on us (at the CrossFit gym) a few months back? Well they finally put it out on TV this morning. Check it out! Its all about our CrossFit Kid's program at the gym I work at (and LOVE!). These little kids are rock stars. My good friend Mitch, the owner of the gym, is the main guy talking and you'll see me in the background a lot. If you keep watching, you'll see me flip a 400 pound tractor tire (by the way, now that I'm prego, I don't lift such heavy things... don't worry). Our little baby is gonna come out flipping tires in no time! If you're ever in Columbus, stop by the gym and check it out. It is my second favorite place to be- my first is with Dan ;)

Here's the link. Check it out!

Whats up?

Here's another update: Not much has changed since the last post- Dan finished up another quarter in dental school and did amazing! I hope our kids get all of his genes. He's been enjoying taking it easy the last few days without school. I'm staying extremely busy with work- I go from working at the orthodontist to working at the Crossfit gym most nights of the week and Saturdays. It is a ton of fun though (the Crossfit is fun, not so much of the bill collecting and insurance). I've been coaching a girls only class every Friday night at 530 and a kids class every Saturday. The news came (NBC 4) to film us so we'll be on TV soon! Sorry our blog is so boring to read, I never know what to say! Here's some pictures my good friend Kim took from a Crossfit competition last weekend:

An Update

Like I've probably said before, I am terrible at blogging. I'm sorry I never update, when I actually have time, its the last thing on my list to do. Dan and I have been staying very busy- Dan with school (obviously) and me with work and Crossfit. Dan is still doing great with school, he's excited about learning things he can actually apply to dentistry. We had our first Crossfit Kids last Saturday, which went great! It'll be a weekly thing for now on, so thats exciting! In a few weeks, our Crossfit Kids program will be featured on the news! Sorry for the brief post, but that's all I've got for now. Have a good day!

We go to all of the Ohio State sporting events we can. We love it! Last week, we went to a men's volleyball game and Dan was asked to play Rock Paper Scissors between periods and he won! hahahaha we was so embarrassed! What a good sport!

We went to a men's hockey game with some friends a few weeks ago, heres some pics:
