Jack is seven months! Wait... seriously??

I seriously had absolutely no idea that time could go by so fast.  It's insane.  I love being a Mama to Jack!  He is da bomb.  Seriously.

Here's his 7 month stats:                                         Here's his birthday stats:
Weight- 22lbs                                                               Weight- 9lbs 1 oz
Length- 28 inches                                                       Length- 20.5 inches
Head Circumference- 18 1/2 inches                  Head Circumference- 14 inches

We've had a rough week to say the least.  Our poor guy has been sick with roseola for an entire week, but is way way better today, thanks goodness.  It's scarey when kids, especially babies, are sick.  The only communication they can give really, is crying and whining.  It's exhausting for everyone!

This month's favorites:
*Jack started army crawling!  Its hilarious.  I can't believe he's already mobile.
*Babbles all day long.  His favorite things to say, "Blah brah brah", "Ma ma ma", "Da da da da"
*Sitting up for a while on his own, unsupported!
*SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!  I never thought we'd see the day, but it's finally here!!
*Dancing!  One of his favorites :)
*Anything outside
*Reading books
*Walks/runs
*Chewing on things with his new chompers
*Fake coughing

Reading "Goodnight Moon" with Daddy

Sad, huh?

Pretty much all healthy again!

Adventure to Chicago

As mentioned in the last post, Dan has been so very consumed with studying for the first part of his boards (by the way, I'm absolutely not complaining, just explaining). With that said, Jack and I didn't see much of him, except at dinner.  Dan comes home last Wednesday for to eat some grub and says to me, "Hey, I have an idea.  Because I can't spend much time hanging out this weekend, why don't you and Jack drive up to see Bekah!".  I was like, "Yeah!  Why don't we!"  So, we did.  And it was so very very awesome.  I love Bekah and her sweet family.  Seriously, awesome people, awesome kids.
We took off on Thursday at 5:45am (I LOVE last minute trips, they're the best) and ventured off for the expected 6 hr 15min drive.  Well, that drive turned into an 8 and a half hour drive.  In the very hot heat.  With a screaming Jack.  There was a terrible wreck (my prayers go out to the people affected by it) and we were stopped for about an hour and a half.  I never thought we'd get there.  But we did!  Horray!  It was so great to see them.  It was definitely a quick trip and I wished we could have stayed longer, but it was totally worth every minute of the drive out.  It makes me so excited to (hopefully) live closer to my family.
For the record, the drive home went great.  Jack is a champ.
Here's some pictures from our adventure:

Annie Bananie

Annie was hilarious with Jack.  She kept saying, "Awww cute!"  Jack kept smiling huge.  It was so cute!

I swear, Jack and Peter have this sweet little connection

Lately Happenings!

We've been busy busy bee's lately!  I suppose Dan's birthday is a good place to start:

My husband is hot.
Dan took the first part of his boards on Monday morning, which meant he had to devote his time to studying (poor guy).  We started the day going to a few garage sales.  Dan hit a gold mine- he got probably around 50 golf balls for free!  He had to hit the books for the day then finally got to take some time off from studying and we went out to dinna! Pretty low key, but I'd say he had a good day :)

Next is Father's Day.  Again, because of boards, another low key day, BUT I managed to surprise him with this:

A hidden talent of mine :)

Dan won't find out for 3 weeks or so how he did on his test, but I bet ya he did great.  He's one smart dude.  He works so hard to learn everything.  I'm so thankful for everything he does!  What.  A.  Stud.  Now we're enjoying a week off of school without a test hanging over his head.  Its awesome.
Ol' Jack started swimming on the floor today.  Its so so cute, but to be honest, it kind of makes me sad.  He's growing up so fast!  If you put a toy just out of reach, he gets there!  He's figuring out how to make different sounds with his mouth, loves of "L" sounds and bubbles.  It melts my heart.  Speaking of mouth, Jack sprouted 2 teeth on Dan's birthday!
And now, here's some pics:
